Quantum Project: Calling All Students

The challenge

SciFusion is here to help you - a high school student - to prepare for the careers of the future.

There is an enormous need for young people in the United States to engage themselves in the areas of bioscience and technology and to set them selves apart from their classmates with academic excellence in science, math and technology. Experts estimate there will be approximately 250,000 new math and science jobs in the US by 2016, with few qualified workers to fill them.

The following report gives us some insight into the challenges ahead:

"Middle and high school students across the country are generally falling behind in life sciences, and the nation is at risk of producing a dearth of qualified workers for the fast-growing bioscience industry, according to a report released Monday."
-Stephen Majors, Associated Press 5.19.09
